Progress Report

Oct 25, 95: Started working on a portable package for handling the UTMP and WTMP. The platforms I'm supporting are IRIX, Solaris 2.5, SunOS, ULTRIX, HP-UX 9, and Dynix 3.2.
Oct 27, 95: The UTMP package is done. I haven't tested it under hpux or irix yet, because I don't have root on machines running these OSes. Started working on the TTY/PTY allocation mechanism.
Oct 29, 95: The TTY/PTY allocation mechanism works on HP-UX, Irix, Solaris, SunOS, Ultrix, and Dynix 3.2.
Nov 8, 95: DU is basically done. I still need to add in features such as authentification and tty manipulation (chmodding the tty).
